Head to Head Ninja Warrior Competition

What better way to test your training than a full noise head to head ninja warrior competition.

The Compound in Bayswater is Melbourne’s premiere Ninja Warrior training facility and each month they host an in-house Ninja battle for athletes of all abilities.

From complete beginner to seasoned Ninja Warrior, The Compound has it for you. Rookie Ninjas are those who’ve just started training and, even if it’s your second time in the gym, this level is built just for you.

In the middle are the Ninjas. They’ve been training a little while now and have a few competitions under the belt.

The Ninja Elite are the ‘real Ninja Warriors’. From fast moving, spotlight avoiding enigmas to the high profile, TV show dominating athletes like Ashlin Herbert, Dan ‘Barefoot Ninja’ Mason and fan favourite, Jake Baker.

Let's Race Head To Head

In July, we race head to head.

Racing side by side will almost certainly make for high-zoot action and today was certainly solid evidence of this.

Starting on the Monkey Bars, Ninjas get started quickly using a variety of techniques. Then with little more than a couple of inches separating each competitor, making their way through one, two or three laches was up next.

Balance followed the laches and led into one of the more fun obstacles, the ring swing. Grabbing the ring, competitors turned and ran backwards before leaping into the air, turning and launching across and onto the boxes at the other end. An absolute blast when you got it right.

Next, Ninjas traversed a pole or completed a 2.8m lache then Ring-Slide and onto the Salmon Ladder.

All of this while another Ninja Warrior runs beside you, hunting you down or giving you something to chase. It’s a sure-fire way to make each race that little bit faster.
